First Days of School
We made it through the first 2 days of school without a hitch. I am officially part of the carpool (which consists of me and one other parent). M is now taking the bus, which I must say, I am not at all happy about. I just never thought I'd bus my child especially since I have a ready, able and willing grama to do it. Mark felt the need to retire his mother of her services without consulting with me. His mom is not the least bit happy about it either. I think he and his sisters will be having a little pow-wow this weekend. I heard from oldest sister this evening that his mom isn't "upset", she's just a little out of sorts. She doesn't understand his choice either. I'm hoping that some head bashing will happen and he will retract his decision. Actually I think M is enjoying the whole bus thing. He rides with all of the kids from the hood and he even got his own house key...whooo:) The only drawback to that is that O makes it home before him so he hasn't gotten to use it yet.
Moving on....
It's my night to cook the family meal tomorrow, I think I'm going to do carnitas. There was this "roach coach" in CA that parked in the same place for years. It was called Esmeralda's. They made the best carnitas. Whenever Mark walked in the house holding that foil package I knew what I was having for dinner. Still need something to have with it. I also bought a bottle of organic peach/mango margarita mix. Now all we need is Jose and Yippeee.
